Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and sole child daughter of Richard McCormick. Her father worked as a school teacher and her mother as an at-home mom. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick began singing and performing in the early years of her life. Her fairytale rise to fame started when she won her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 which led to being contacted by talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her if she'd like to enter the show industry. McCormick was chosen to play in her debut major part in 1964, in an tv commercial featuring Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. The following year she appeared in an additional company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was quickly selected for the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was among 1200 other children to play the eldest towheaded daughter in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed, newlyweds who had the same family as a blended one. It lasted five years. McCormick wrote in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick revealed how during the fifth season of the TV show, she was close to losing her their virginity to brother Barry Williams. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book, Here's the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Identifying My True Voice that during the fifth season of the show, she nearly lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. We would've had a romance, she said. The timing, however, wasn't just right.
