Her roles on Guiding Light as Marina Cooper and Dawson's Creek as Marcy Bender are among her most well-known roles. She was in two episodes of Showtime's Weeds, starring Mary Louise Parker. Her most well-known role was playing Judy Kramer on Fox's 2005 Point Pleasant series and Marcy in Dawson's Creek. On the Guiding Light soap drama, Dollar played Marina Cooper. This role has earned her an award nomination from Soap Opera Digest in 2003, for the Outstanding Newcomer. Dollar was on screen as Cindy Thomas from 2007 until 2008 on ABC's Women's Murder Club.
